 Roller Coasters: Viper

Overview | User Reviews | Photos

 Overview

Viper debuted in 1990 as the world's largest looping roller coaster.  The ride features a height of 188-feet, speeds of up to 70 MPH, and seven inversions – including three vertical loops, a double-inverting boomerang, and two corkscrews.  The layout spans 3,830-feet in length.

Viper is located in Baja Ridge, near the front of the park.  As you drive up Magic Mountain Parkway, the ride's massive structure looms high above you.

The ride is designed by Arrow Dynamics of Utah and was one of the company's last Mega-Loopers to be built.

Although X, which is located directly in front of Viper, has stolen a lot of the ride's attention, Viper still remains very popular and is a favorite among park guests.
